Symposium \u201eSustainable Electronics\u201c in N\u00fcrnberg<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The \u201cSustainable Electronics\u201d symposium took place in Nuremberg on January 23, 2025 - an event that deals intensively with the future of sustainable electronics and the innovative solutions in the industry. The day revealed an excellent opportunity to meet leading experts and decision-makers from the semiconductor and electronics industry and exchange ideas about the latest developments in sustainable electronics, future prospects and resource conservation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Focal points and highlights of the event:<\/h2><\/div>

A special item on the program was the expert lecture by our technologist Dr. Lutz Wuschke on the topic \u201cDesign for Recycling- for selected automotive electronics components\u201d \u2013 an important step towards environmentally friendly product design. In his lecture, Dr. Wuschke highlighted the importance of sustainable product design and explained how the life cycles of electronic products can be significantly extended and recycling processes made easier by taking recyclability and resource conservation into account at an early stage in the design phase.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Another highlight was the company pitch by Managing Director Thorsten Ziegler of SRW metalfloat GmbH, who gave exciting insights into the company's core business. In particular, the innovative approaches in the area of \u200b\u200bmetal scrap recycling as well as the use of artificial intelligence and robotics in 3-shift operation were presented. In addition, automotive-friendly plastic recycling was discussed, which makes an important contribution to conserving resources and avoiding waste in the electronics industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The compact exhibition area by Scholz and SRW gave participants the opportunity to enter into direct exchange and exchange ideas about innovative technologies and sustainable solutions in the electronics and semiconductor industries. With the support of video material, the technical discussions could be illustrated and deepened.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The symposium attracted around 120 participants, including decision-makers from the areas of research and development, product management and finance. The event offered an ideal platform to discuss the current challenges and future prospects of the electronics and semiconductor industry, particularly with regard to the production of chips.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The symposium impressively made it clear that sustainability in the electronics industry is no longer a \u201cnice-to-have\u201d but rather an indispensable prerequisite for the future. The continuous development of innovative recycling technologies, the promotion of circular economy and the collaboration between product design and recycling are crucial to making the electronics industry more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient in the long term.<\/p>\n
